THE MULTIPLE FACETS OF DESALTO
HOME LIVING AT 2022 MILAN FURNITURE FAIR:
Desalto's exploration of the different and varied worlds of contemporary living, from home interiors
to the outdoor, from offices to public spaces, continues and deepens. A research carried out while
maintaining its underlying philosophy: to conceive and produce design furniture with high aesthetic,
qualitative and functional contents, capable of expressing simplicity and purity of form, with
conscious attention to the environment.
The Milan Furniture Fair 2022 is the perfect context in which to introduce Desalto’s current design
achievements, presented in an elegant setting conceived by architects Calvi and Brambilla.
The exhibition takes the visitor through a series of descriptive environments that evoke the
atmospheres and scenarios of our life, especially in its public dimension, from which the new
furnishing solutions emerge as protagonists.
Starting with CALUM, the comfortable seating collection
developed for the first time in partnership with designer Simon Pengelly, for residential, office and
contract use, and capable of blending seamlessly into any type of space, thanks also to its wide and
varied range of finishes, materials and colours.
A new version also for the HELSINKI 35 table,
designed by Caronni + Bonanomi, the most up-to-date expression of the large Helsinki family table,
Desalto's long-standing bestseller. Its clear, precise design is now evident in the extendible version,
with folding opening and top available in different materials.
The KOKI WIRE line of outdoor/indoor seatings, designed by Pocci + Dondoli, also catches the eye for
the evanescent lightness of its silhouette, which conceals the solid drawn steel frame. A new version
in full-grain leather is also available, suitable for indoor use only. The suggestion of living en plein air
is underlined by the ELLIS series of outdoor tables, again by the Florentine designers, enriched with
new finishes.
Finally, the spirit of Desalto is fully expressed in STRONG SPECIAL, the new two-seater sofa and
lounge armchair designed by Eugeni Quitllet, as a natural development of the previous Strong
collection of tables and chairs. The two new pieces are marked by essential and consistent design, in
a perfect balance between comfort and solidity, where floating elements combine to give lightness
to the entire structure.
